Nicaragua (Republic of Nicaragua) is a country in Central America, located between the Caribbean Sea in the east and the Pacific Ocean in the west. It borders Costa Rica and Honduras to the north. The capital is Managua. The form of government is a presidential republic, the head of state is the president.
The climate is varied and depends on the region of the country. In general, two main climatic regions can be distinguished. Tropical humid climate with high temperatures that rarely fall below 25°C and subtropical, temperatures can vary depending on altitude but average around 27-32°C.

Language. In Nicaragua the official language is Spanish. It is used in all areas of society, including education, public administration, business communications and mass media. Besides Spanish, there are also a small number of national and local languages spoken by some ethnic groups.
Nicaragua is an agricultural country, one of the poorest in Latin America. Agriculture plays an important role in the economy. The country produces a wide range of agricultural products, including coffee, bananas, sugar, potatoes, corn and beans. Coffee is one of the main export commodities. The industrial sector includes the production of textiles, food products, and metalworking. The main trading partners are the USA, Mexico and Costa Rica.
The country faces high unemployment and low levels of infrastructure, low levels of education and access to healthcare, poverty and social inequality. In recent years, Nicaragua has faced political instability and protests, which also has an impact on the country's economic situation.
Nicaragua is a beautiful country and has potential for development, especially in tourism. Its natural beauty, including volcanoes, lakes and beaches on the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, would make the country a top ten tourist destination. However, this sector is still developing and requires large investments.
