The population is 1,505,651 people (2022). The official language is Spanish. The local population also speaks Bantu and French. The standard of living, medicine, education and social security in the country is low. Security levels are also relatively low and tourists are advised to exercise caution when visiting the country. To obtain Equatorial Guinea citizenship, you must live in the country for several years and meet certain requirements. Citizenship by birth is not given in the country. Equatorial Guinea is known for its oil resources and huge reserves of natural gas. Attractions include parks and reserves such as the Monte Raises National Park.
