Guam
Guam is an unincorporated (administered but not part of) overseas territory of the United States. It is located in the western part of the Pacific Ocean and is located on one of the Mariana Islands.
The capital is the city of Hagatna.
The climate in Guam is tropical. Humid and hot for most of the year. November to April is usually the rainy season.
The population is approximately 174,500 (2022).
The official language is English. The local population also speaks Chamorro, the language of the local Chamorro people.
The country's economy is largely made up of tourism and the US military base.
The largest part of tourists are Japanese, they are attracted by the natural beauty, waterfalls, beaches and coral reefs where they can go diving.
The medical and educational systems are at a fairly high level, corresponding to American standards.
Guam citizenship by birth is granted if the parents are US citizens. Immigrants can obtain through naturalization.
