The Republic of Bulgaria is a state in Southeastern Europe, in the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula. According to the political system, it is a parliamentary republic with presidential rule. It borders with Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia, Romania. Washed by the Black Sea. The capital is Sofia, one of the oldest cities in Europe. Bulgaria is an industrial country with developed agriculture. One of the main sectors of the economy are tourism and services. Administratively, Bulgaria is divided into 28 regions.
Climate. Although the area of Bulgaria is small, its climate is quite diverse. The landscape of Bulgaria is very diverse: lowlands, plains, hills, low and high mountains, a large number of valleys and deep gorges, the sea. Because of this, the country is located in two climatic zones: continental and Mediterranean. The average January temperature drops to -4°C, summer warms up to 30°C.
Population. The population in the country for 2022 will be approximately 7,000,000 people. Mostly Bulgarians. The number of people leaving the country prevails over the number of people who enter for the purpose of long-term stay.
Language. The only official state language is Bulgarian. But many citizens, especially young people, know English. Since the language is Slavic, both Ukrainians and Russians will understand each other.
