Malawi's economy and social sector are poorly developed. Agriculture plays an important role in the country's economy. The majority of the population is employed in the sector and produces products such as corn, tobacco, tea and sugar, which constitute a significant part of the country's exports. Since Malawi is subject to climatic fluctuations and the country's economy is highly dependent on rainfall, lack of rainfall can cause a food crisis.
The education system is poorly developed and not all children have access to it. The level of education remains low and there is a lack of school resources.
The health care system also needs improvement. The fight against infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and malaria remains an important priority for the government. Lack of access to medical care in remote areas is a serious problem.
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and the majority of the population lives in poverty. The ability to feed the population is a challenge, and many people face hunger and malnutrition.
There are also problems such as child labor, low literacy rates, sexual violence and gender discrimination.
