Mauritius (Republic of Mauritius) is an island nation located in the southern Indian Ocean. The capital is Port Louis, which is the largest city in the country and also the main port. Mauritius has no land borders with other countries. The island remains isolated from land and is located far from the nearest continents. The form of government is a parliamentary republic, the head of state is the president.
Climate. Mauritius has a tropical maritime climate characterized by warm and sunny weather throughout the year. Summers in Mauritius are hot and humid. Temperatures range from 25°C to 33°C and can sometimes rise higher. Winter is cooler and less humid. Temperature around 17°C -24°C. The sea water remains warm all year round, with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 28°C.

Language. Mauritius has two official languages: English and French. This is due to the history of the island, which was a colony of both Great Britain and France.
