The Republic of Serbia is a landlocked state in southeastern Europe, in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. Language. The Serbian language has national status, but along with it and at the regional levels, 12 more languages are also officially used.
Today, Serbia is a secular state. But the 20th century brought much suffering to the country, which caused massive waves of refugees. After the end of the conflict, many returned to their native country, but many remained in the other country they left for and received citizenship.
